From Skateboarder to Brand Builder
Welcome to the 9 Elements Podcast brought to you by Restore Hyper Wellness. I’m your host, Eric Hinman. Each week, I sit down with trailblazers in the fitness, nutrition, and wellness communities, exploring how they optimize their daily lives for ultimate performance to do more of what they love.
I am a 5x Ironman athlete, brand builder, and someone who’s obsessed with health and wellness - structuring much of my day around fitness and recovery protocols.
On today’s episode I chat with Neen Wiliams, a professional skateboarder, fitness trainer, restaurant owner, spice company owner, and brand builder. Throughout his early 20s, Neen lived the pro skater lifestyle: drinking, partying, eating poorly, then getting up late and doing it all over again. At age 28, Neen Williams wrecked his knee for a second time and decided to take a different path. He got sober, he started working out, and he dedicated himself to nutrition. He treated injury recovery like an athlete, paving the way for the next wave of Olympic-ready skateboarders. Now an elder statesman for Deathwish Skateboarders, Neen Williams is a certified kettlebell instructor with his own line of signature seasonings and a fitness coaching program on the Ladder App. With his changes to exercise and nutrition, he’s showing other skateboarders that life doesn’t end at 30. And he’s bridging the gap between action sports and fitness and nutrition in the process.
