Ready for your monthly refresh? Each month, Restore offers a Drip of the Month tailored to the month’s specific challenges. Whether the focus is immunity, energy, detox, or skin health, each season brings a different set of factors that influence the ingredients in our drips.

It’s cold out there! Our December Drip Of The Month is here to keep you warm and energized all season long.

Our Winter Warmer Drip includes:

Alpha-Lipoic Acid (ALA): This ingredient aids in energy production, reduces oxidative stress, and boosts the immune system.

B Complex: This family of B Vitamins may increase energy and reduce the body’s response to stress.

Suggested Boost: Magnesium. Get cozy from the inside out!

Why do I need ALA?

ALA, also known as Alpha-Lipoic Acid is an organic compound found in all human cells. It’s made naturally in the body (synthesized in the mitochondria, where it helps enzymes turn nutrients into energy), but humans only produce ALA in small amounts, so turning to ALA-rich foods or supplements may help to optimize your intake. It’s also known as a potent antioxidant that may help manage weight, reduce inflammation, promote healthy nerve function, aid in digestion and boost energy.

Why Do I Need B Complex?

B Complex is composed of eight B vitamins: B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B9 and B12. As the building blocks of a healthy body, B vitamins have a direct impact on your energy levels, brain function, and cell metabolism. Vitamin B complex may help prevent infections and help support or promote:

  • Cell health
  • Growth of red blood cells
  • Energy levels
  • Eyesight
  • Brain function
  • Digestion
  • Appetite
  • Proper nerve function
  • Hormones and cholesterol production
  • Cardiovascular health
  • Muscle tone

Some top sources of B vitamins include meat (especially liver), seafood, poultry, eggs, dairy products, legumes, leafy greens, seeds and fortified foods, such as breakfast cereal and nutritional yeast.

Because B Complex is primarily found in animal-based foods, vegan and vegetarians should pay special attention to their intake, because a B vitamin deficiency can lead to anemia, digestive issues, skin conditions and more.

Why Do I Need Magnesium?

Magnesium is a vital mineral that may help the body support muscle and nerve health, promote relaxation and combat soreness. It’s estimated that up to 75% of the population are not meeting their daily requirement of magnesium. Although research is limited, magnesium deficiency has been linked to low dopamine levels. Foods like pumpkin seeds, almonds, spinach and cashews are all rich in Magnesium, but if you think you’re not getting enough in your diet, try supplementing instead!

Contact your local Restore to schedule a Drip! Offer available through December 31.
