Restore Hyper Wellness EA to CEO Jeanne Chauvin appeared on KXAN’s Studio 512 for their Woman Crush Wednesday feature on August 10. On top of her full-time job at Restore, Jeanne moonlights as a group fitness instructor at Life Time Fitness and one of her students nominated her for the feature.
According to the student: “I am fiercely loyal to her classes, though as are many of her students. I find it frustrating that more people don’t know how good she is. She isn’t just good for 61; she is fit for someone 20-25 years her junior! The lady can teach, do 100s of push-ups on demand, teach kickboxing and barbell classes all day…and I’d like to see her get a little brief exposure to the world if possible.”
The definition of “do more,” Jeanne has been instructing group fitness since the mid 1980s and continues to progress her fitness skills, spearheading fitness initiatives in the office that include squat challenges (in heels) and blazing through 5k runs in our Restore Does More Fitness Challenge.
“I started teaching in 1986 for a club out of Dallas called The Waist Basket. In 1988, I started teaching for a local club - Body Business and taught there for 20 years. I'm now at Lifetime Fitness in my 15th year. I've always taught alongside working full-time, and raising 3 children. Formats I teach include strength, cardio, core, and kickboxing.”
What do you like about teaching group fitness classes?
- I get to inspire 150 - 200 members every week.
- I love being on stage motivating and guiding the members.
- I get to create my workouts and playlists.
- It definitely keeps me disciplined and aligned with my fitness goals.
- It’s a huge stress reliever!
