In celebration of International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating Lenys Alcoreza, Restore Hyper Wellness franchise owner and a bilingual senior level executive with over thirty years in the healthcare arena. Recently, Lenys was profiled by Authority Magazine on how to optimize our mental, physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing, and Lenys was kind enough to offer her perspective on her personal growth, as well as a quick history of the unique multicultural growth her own family has experienced.

On her roots:

“I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, the oldest of four siblings. I moved to the U.S. after graduating from high school and getting married. I left my family back on my beautiful island but was looking towards building a future with my husband from Bolivia. While still young, we shared a vision and a dream. I was the first person in my family to graduate from college. Thirty-six years later, following the birth of our granddaughter Lucía, our family has extended to a beautiful fusion of cultures and languages. What started as Puerto Rican and Bolivian now includes Dominican, Korean and American and at our table; a combination of foods, music, cultures and languages.”

On her optimal approach to wellness

“Some good mental habits that I have seen include activity, eating well and sleeping. However, the speed at which we live our lives makes it difficult to maintain these habits. For example, as a business executive, I travel a lot and I used to take the first flight in the morning and then spend the rest of the day working. Sometimes you need to do that, but now I will travel the day before and have an IV Drip to help ensure that I get a decent night's sleep. Knowing how to prioritize our needs is super important for mental health. I’ve also learned to use humor more and more and have found that it helps with mental wellness.”

On her introduction to Restore:

“I was introduced to Restore Hyper Wellness when I elicited their services to help with chronic pain after a total knee replacement. The impact on my medical well being after using Restore’s services was the springboard to owning my own franchise with my husband (and also working on opening multiple locations). I believe in the impact that the services can have on one’s individual health, and am very proud of the opportunity to bring these services to so many people.”
